About the Build

New bike day?? Well kinda, a new frame is kinda like new bike day, especially when you have an open mind. . . all kidding aside. The MIN.D. is the iconic road frameset from OPEN. We love attention to detail at OYLC, Gerrod’s U.P. shows the level that can be achieved, now it’s time for Drew’s MIN.D. to get this spotlight. This build features CeramicSpeed coated bottom bracket and pulleys, to keep things super smooth and quiet. The rest of the build features a nearly 3 year old SRAM RED AXS group, the MIN.D. paired with any of the AXS groups keeps the build nice and clean. The cockpit is an Enve road bar wrapped in Fizik vento tape, a Syncros RR1.0 stem with integrated Syncros computer mount. Now for the wheels, these are built here in house. We used Chris King R45D disc hubs with ceramic bearings and laced them to ZIPP 303 Firecrest hookless (25mm internal) rims sporting the Continental GP5000 S TR tubeless tires. We used silver Sapim CX-Ray spokes and Sapim securelock nipples.

OPEN bikes have all the details sorted out making the assembly as smooth as possible. The MIN.D. frameset comes with the following; frame, U-Turn fork, headset, seat mast topper and all the fitments for cable routing. The frame features a 25mm integrated seatmast to maximize compliance and comfort.

OPEN knocked this one out of the park. The minimal designed coupled with a sublime ride feel makes it an excellent choice for those wanting all day comfort with a very understated aesthetic.
