About the Build

Patience… Some people name their bike, this one should definitely be named Patience. I heard about the idea of this bike a year or so before we built it, I love talking custom bikes. Sometimes customers tell me about their dream build and the next thing you know we are taking a deposit followed with a bike delivery within a week and others take time. This particular build got halted a few times when other life expenses popped up and took the funds away from the project. Being an avid commuter we would see this customer from time to time for a tune up or tires and he would give us an update on project dream bike. Last fall the time finally came to assemble this incredible machine, I think the customer and I were both equally excited to build this bike. I’m happy to report that the customer says the bike exceeds his wildest expectations. We are always ready to hear your idea of the “perfect ride” and can help you build it when the time comes!

Starting with the heart of the bike, we have a steel Gunnar Roadie frame. Light and sporty enough for racing, yet still capable of providing a comfortable feel for long excursions. All Gunnar frames are made with precision in their Waterloo, Wisconsin Factory. Machining, fixturing, and welding are among the first process before the final build and paint. You can truly make this bike all your own, whether it be custom paint or custom sizing. You can also select from several of their stock sizes. Chris King hubs, bottom bracket, and headset in orange accent the frame perfectly. Shifting duties are handled by a Shimano Ultegra Di2 electronic drivetrain for years of smooth and reliable rides!
