About the Build

Generally when a customer comes in asking for a commuter bike, something fairly simple and budget minded are the items to be addressed. Well my friends, while we can add simplicity and budget into the description on this commuting machine, there’s far more appealing aspects to take in.

The Kona Rove is impressive enough as the complete version, but having the opportunity to build up the titanium framed version to custom specs was an enjoyable experience to say the least. The frame starts with a 44mm headtube, compatible with a tapered fork (with the use of an external lower cup) to help keep the weight down and the ride precise as well as 1cm longer chainstays for increased tire clearance. Hand-built in the U.S.A. by Lynskey Performance. As if the frame itself wasn’t enough to get us excited, we’ve coupled it with SRAM CX1 components, hand built velocity a23 rim laced with Dt swiss spoke to sram x9 hubs and disc brakes to handle the stopping power under all weather conditions.
