Click here for the BMX myspace with parts page. July 22nd, 2010 Stolen's thermalite seatpost is the lightest post available. An alloy t-nut insert works with all pivotal seats out there and prevents stripping.
S&M's new video titled" Blind In Texas" is in stock here at the shop and affordable for the super fair price of 6$. Check the trailer out here.
July 21st, 2010 Here's the long awaited Primo N4 Flangeless hub in all it's perfections. It comes with two hub guards for the fair price of $70. Hub guards protect the spokes but should you ever need to replace one simply remove the guard and slide a regular j bend spoke in. We have the N4FL built up to Colony rims or available individually.
Looking for something new to change up the look of your bike? Try some of Shadow's new hollow colored stem bolts, we have purple, gold, and red. Each set comes with six bolts and will look a lot better than the rusted one currently on your bike.
It's mid-summer and if you need some new grips we've got you covered. We have multiple colors in odi along with several other brands.
White pegs from the shadow conspiracy showed up today.
For the few guys left who still have brakes we have the new Fly Bikes brake pads in stock, the 2 washer system mount up a lot easier than the standard 4 washers on most pads.
Here's another new product in white, Profile's new gun hole drilled spindle saves some weight without having to spend a fortune on a Ti spindle. These are the best cranks available... made in usa, light, and they come with a life time warranty.
July 19th, 2010 Built up one of Eclat's Teck front hubs today, it's very similar to Simple and Primo's new N4FL hub which we have in stock!
We also had the pleasure of piecing together a full custom Fit Ben Lewis frame, the customer wanted some parts not normally found on bikes lately like front brakes, gyro, and sprocket guard. This made for a very fun, unique build.
Odyssey's JCPC pedals... on this bike and in stock here at the shop.
That's right, I said front brakes and he uses them to their full potential along with the gyro... whatcha know bout crankflip barspins?
July 15th, 2010 FIT completes are back in stock, these are some of the nicest bikes I've ever built. It's pretty cool that a kid can get a bike that won't fall apart on him and not break the bank doing so.
July 7th, 2010 Here's the best deal in town!
June 24th, 2010
Here's something to hold you over till the premiere, Cult rider Shawn Swain kills it in this new edit.
June 22nd, 2010 Dave Thompson... the bar just keeps getting raised higher and higher.
April 10th, 2010 Here's another local edit from Marcas Grubbs kiling it as usual! Keep an eye out for more edits filmed by MOVEMENT in the near future.
April 9th, 2010 Two of the young guns throw down in each edit. First is Tyler Rimbould with some very good moves and Anthony Caraway follows up with some lines just after turning 15, it seems like this kid ages slower than normal because I feel like he's been fourteen for three years. Yeah it's crazy to think how good these guys will be in the coming years. Thanks to Woody for the edits!
March 28th, 2010 Here's some footage from a trip up to rays indoor mountain bike park I took a couple weeks ago. This place is enormous, most of the clips in here are just from the new Troy Lee Designs Rhythm Room. There really is so much more to this place including ramps for all types of riders.Although I rode most of the time I was there I did get a couple clips with Mike Needs, Spencer Recnk, and Daniel Dhers.
I seriuosly couldn't stop riding this place, it was a blast. Try your best to get up there this year.
March 25th, 2010 This is going to be a good year for bmx videos, here's some trailers from some new dvd's that will be released this year. We should hopefully be doing all the good premiers here at the shop... Animal, Empire, Anthem 2, We The People. This first trailer is for a short low priced dvd coming out from S&M, they plan on releasing four of these this year.
Second we have the trailer for We the People's soon to be released dvd... the first crash is one of the worst I've ever seen.
Next is the new one from the bone deth crew, these guys a pretty wild on and off their bikes. Not sure if we'll be premiering this here all out, but maybe an after hours 18+ showing? That last gap has to be one of the biggest of all time.
Here's an edit from Nike's partners in crime series. This features two Mirra Co riders, Harry Main and Maxime Charveron. This is a must watch as the filming is just as good as the riding, There's a couple moves in here I've never seen before.
March 17th, 2010 Sorry about the lack of updates recently, we'll be posting more as it gets warmer. Here's a 2010 Verde Luxe that we just got in for a customer, it comes stock with high-end parts... Odyssey Twombolt cranks, twisted pedals, and Duo tires. This bike also has a paint job like no other bike out there.
This one had me watching it over and over asking myself,"how is that possible, and how did he make it look so good."
Cult sporckets have arrived here at the shop, 7075 aluminum and 5 bolts holes make for a good sprocket.
February 26th, 2010 Ride BMX has a feature up on there site about the five craziest things to be done on a bmx bike, they covered it pretty good but there's a lot of moves that got left out. It got me wondering what you'll think that list should be made up of. E-mail us your top five(or ten, the more the better) and if we think you put together a good list you'll get some swag. We have some Kink videos and random other things to give away, there's not a single winner just send a good list in. This was a tough one for me to think of, but here's my input no particular order... I know there a ton I forgot so help me out. 1. Steven Hamilton - Last two tricks in the federal video 2. Van Homan - Rail manual from Criminal Mischief 3. Mat Hoffman - No handed 900 4. Morgan Wade - Looping the baldy fullpipe 5. Anthony Napolitan - Double front flip 6. Jimmy Levan - Huge gap from Metal's Dead Bang 7. Colin Winkelman - World Record gap 8. Jamie Bestwick - Flair double whip 9. Van Homan - Kona snake run gap 10. Jay Miron - Last two tricks in the Macniel video
February 25th, 2010 The Tree design spline drive style sprocket is catching on. Here's Profile's version that comes in their wide range of colors and their usual sizes. I love the spline drive option, makes for the easiest set up and best chainline possible.
February 24th, 2010 Rays MTB park is probably one of the most amazing places to go ride your bmx/mountain bike at. If you want to go check it out send us an e-mail or give us a call and let us know. Plans are to go for the Troy Lee Designs Dealer weekend on March 12th and 13th. That's right you can go ride this place when it's closed to the public along with some of the Troy Lee crew!
February 20th, 2010 This is one of my favorite video parts of all time, it's a bonus section train trip from Etnie's "why didn't we do this before" dvd. Joe Rich filmed and edited his and Ruben Alcantara's times in Europe riding some amazing spots. The Explosions in the Sky song also made this edit be one at the top of my list.
February 12th, 2010 Scotty Cranmer has been on the injured list for a bit, but here's a new edit of him killing his park. This place looks like a lot of fun to ride. You gotta see the last couple moves - heavy!
February 10, 2010 Here's some highlight clips from this weekend's Simple Sessions contest. Tons of big moves here... t hang three, three downside whip to bar spin, and a three loockback to downside whip - SO GOOD!
Chase Hawk edit from the guys over at Cult... good to see him rocking some pegs and doing some new moves!
February 5th, 2010 I finally got to build up some of the Madera graffiti wrapped hubs, I've always like the look of these and was pretty anxious to build some. The customer also got one of the new profile hub guards which have holes drilled through now, giving it a good look.
The 10th annual Simple Session goes down tomorrow and Monday, click the link to watch it live and be sure to check out the practice footage from below. You'll see some insane moves and the ramp set up looks pretty good as usual.
February 3rd, 2010 Joe Dodd, an English BMX rider who has recently moved to Australia, takes you on a tour around some of Sydney's most iconic streets, parks and locations.
February 2nd, 2010 So I just put brakes on Barmore's bike... could they make a comeback? He got up early today and shoveled snow down at the park for everyone. He also wanted to re-learn tables again like the one below. Make sure to give him props next time you see him.
In other local news, former Indiana shredder Mark Hobbs put in some work behind the lens in his new home state of Illionios. Check it out.
January 28th, 2010 Colony rims have showed up here at the shop. The clone rim is exactly what is means, these are the same design used as proper. Nice things is they're a little more affordable and you get the same strength as usual along with a rim strip.
I got to build up one of the new Tree hubs yesterday. It uses straight spokes instead of the usual j bend allowing for a flangless hub. This makes breaking spokes a thing of the past when paired with Tree's flangeless hub and hub guard. This was also the smoothest hub I've ever felt.
January 27th, 2010 First trick is ridiculous, make sure not to miss the 2:00 mark. He has that decade to three so dialed, that defies physics if you think about it. We've got a bunch of new products in the shop this week... I'll post it up soon or come by and see for yourself.
January 25th, 2010 Here's a really good video to get you through this cold week. The first is a vans trip through California featuring Ben Hennon, Kevin Kalkoff, Bruno Hoffman, Tobias Wicke, and Gary Young. Be ready for a 15 minute video with killer riding and very good film work.
January 15th, 2010 Got full size runs in both colors, local hero Jimmy Levan duff's signature tee free with any duffs levan shoe...austin church gap wtf!
Here's two videos you should check out.
January 5th, 2010 We just received the new Ruben Graphite pedals from Fly Bikes. A new stronger nylon and fiber glass compound allow for a slimmer and lighter body. Squared pins create better traction along with a knurled surface.
Mutiny leftover footage... here's some clips that didn't make it into Let's Get Mystical.
December 23rd, 2009 We received some new products this week, short pivotal's from fit black and gold.
New colors in sea foam green, root bear, and bright blue.
G Sport pegs so you can keep the crew at Ollies happy.
December 14th, 2009 Here's a new edit from the Shitluck crew, lots of good maneuvers from the Louisville skate park in here.
It's the little things that count. A gold KMC chain and gold Odyssey pedals were added to this bike it looks even better now.
Here's a new bike in the shop. Eastern's Growler comes with plastic pedals, removable brake system, and sealed bearings all around!
December 11th, 2009 We have the new Eastern Death of Fun DVD here at the shop, come by and pick one up or we'll pop one in the DVD player to check out. It's a pretty good video... Karl's section was nice along with Eric Holley.
December 9th, 2009 The holidays are always exciting due to the amount of cool bikes we get to build up. This custom Fit was picked piece by piece from companies Profile, Odyssey, and Animal.
This build used the new Knight hub guard specially designed for use with Primo hubs, no longer do you have to spread your frame and this won't offset you wheel like other guards.
December 8th, 2009 Here's a new edit of Louisville Local Brian Hinkel. Matt ballard filmed and edited this piece and you should watch it immediately, lots of good moves in this one.
We also received more bikes from Fit today. Fit Completes have been very popular this holiday season. Each bike is ramp ready right out of the box! All entry level bikes on up come with sealed bottom bracket, 3 piece cranks, sealed 9 tooth cassette hub, and a sealed integrated headset. The small 25 tooth sprocket stays out of the way during grinds and when rolling into ramps The Park 1 features a Snafu gyro to allow all the barspins and tailwhips possible. As always our bikes come with a year of free adjustments.
The next level up is the Park 2 and it features a longer top tube for taller riders along with bigger bars. A sealed front hub is also an upgrade found on the Park 2.
The Street 1 comes with four pegs and Wellgo plastic pedals. This bike is waiting to be ridden around town searching for new street spots.
The Tech 1 in white has been the one bike that every one loves. You usually don't get a bike this good looking until you spend over 600$, just a little over half that and the Tech 1 can be yours.
Last but not least is the Trail 1. Don't let the name fool you though this bike is ready for all the ramps, street, and dirt riding you can dish out. The trail series is inspired by style cat Mike Aitken and each bike is styled after one of his own.
December 4th, 2009 Every time this guy drops a new web video there are a ton of new tricks I've never imagined. Mark Webb fresh of an injury, back at it.
December 2nd, 2009 This is for the man who loves green jelly beans...New shoes from Duffs arrived today. We have the new Gambler G4, Levan forge shoes, mid-top Shermans, and 4130 highs. We got a little bit of everything and as always if we don't have what you need we can order it.
November 24th, 2009 Here's a weekend edit from the Misled crew. This one features a ton of good riding from the filmer/ rider Grant C along with Louisville Locals Brian Hinkel, Ben Drury, Keenan Gutter, and Anthony Caraway. How bout Joey Hill trying to front flip the ledge? CRAZY!
We got some new shoes in today from Orchid. Van Homan's signature shoe might not give you the ability to film video parts like this, but it'll deffinently grip your pedals like a champ.
Next up is the Cobra, Matt's signature shoe comes in gansta red and black along with the standard bmx color option... BLACK! These feature the same bottoms as the Homan's so your feet stay on your pedals.
November 18th, 2009 Fit's new Eddie Clevland frame arrived today and it's pretty dialed. First off it's American made, has a built in pivotal post, and comes in translucent black or red.
We recieved some of our new Duffs shoes today, below are the Forge which is Jimmy Levan's new signature shoe. Pretty bad ass that a Louisville local gets his own kicks. The model we got has a all black sole which ass you can see I had to photo shop into the pic. Come by and try a pair out for yourself.
We also got in the 4130 midtop from Duffs, we have a lot more shoes on the way that should be showing up
November 12th, 2009 We got some new items in today... Proper rims in black, clear Proper brake pads, and the new DK random wrench in gold!
November 11th, 2009 The Etnies team came to the Louisville park a couple months ago and here's the edit from that East coast trip. There's not a ton of Louisville footy due to the rain that ruined the session:(
Here's a new edit Federal put together with Dan Lacey and Ty Morrow. The dudes shred so you know it's worth watching.
November 10th, 2009 Eclat pedals are back in stock! These things absolutely rule, good grip and good looks.
We also recieved a new hub from We The People. The Supreme Switch Cassette hub is easily converted from RHD to LHD by just switching the pawls. I love the design of this so much that it's at the top of the list for hubs, can't wait to try one out.
November 5th, 2009 Here's a rad free coaster edit, the bar on web edits has been raised pretty high lately.
November 3rd, 2009 Levan filmed a ton while he was here last time and here's the edit he put together. Lots of good riding from the Louisville crew.
FINALLY!!! Knight Bike co. designed a hub guard that fits over the stock hardware on the primo hub (official street hub). We also received the version for the Gsport Ratchet hubs, It replaces the non drive side hardware for care free grinding.
October 25th, 2009 Bas Keep rides the biggest cobblestone quarter ever in this video, definitely a must view.
October 24th, 2009 Make sure to mark your ca lender for this one!
Chris Mahaffey from Nashville put this all street edit together which features Louisville Locals Marcas Grubbs, Ben Drury, Brian Hinkel, and Ryan Metro. Bonus shredding comes from Karl Poynter, Johnny Devlin, Miles Rogoish, Alex Magallan, and Chad Ring.
October 20th, 2009 Duff's Brian Osbourne brought by a new Sunday frame to be built up last week, here's the end result with all new shadow parts. Note the metal pedals, they might be the only ones on a bmx bike in Louisville???
October 15th, 2009 2010 Fit bikes are here! The Tech 1 is the best looking entry level bike I've ever seen and it's available for a very affordable $360. Gold rim wheel sets laced to a sealed cassette hub in the rear along with a 25/9 drive train, and sealed 3 pc cranks make this a solid ride.
Next up is the Park 2. Chrome frame, fork, and bars come together to make a bike unlike any at the park. The sealed 3 pc cranks, both hubs, and a sealed integrated headset make this bike indestructible. Alienation rims, Fit tires, and Odyssey Pc pedals add to the value and the gyro makes it ready for bar spins.
The trail 2 is ready for all the dirt jumps you can build or a day at the skate park. As with the Park 2, everything is sealed! Odyssey Twisted Pc's come stock on this flat black machine with red Alienation rims.
It's always been hard to find a longer top tube bike for a reasonable price, the Tech 2.5 breaks the mode with a 20.75" tt which is better for taller riders. Fit Plastic Pedals and Pivotal seat are a nice touch along with Fit FAF tires. Once again sealed bearings in the hubs, crank, and headset.
October 13th, 2009 Here's a local edit from micheal. Nice to see so many edit coming from the ville.
October 1st, 2009 Here's some pics from the Interbike trip. We started filming for another movement video. Come up to the shop if you want to film some clips.
Here's S&M's new bars. These are about 60 inches wide and will make your knee touch no handers look 5x worse.
This was the coolest bike of the show. S&M built this for a look into the future of what could be possible. There are no plans of producing it yet though. The rear wheel must use a female bolt axel system, the bolts go through a hole in the dropout making for no more moved wheels after harsh landings. They use a shorter link spaced chain to avoid the chain from stretching, this requires a tighter tooth spaced spocket as well. Other changes were a smaller head tube and a use of a top load stem for the same feel.
Tree's match to their front straight pull spoke hub is a matching cassette hub that allows the use of a drives side gaurd. The female style bolts use a 3/8" ratchet to tighten the bolts.
Sam keeps thinking up new ideas all the time. This stem below sandwiches together and tightens a circular piece with a slot in it to tighten on the steerer tube. Pretty trick.
I love plastic pedals, these new colors from Eclat are almost as good as how well they grip. We'll have these back in stock as soon as they're available.
Here's Macneils take on the plastic pedal. I'm feeling these will be pretty popular.
Kink showed a new grip that felt really good. They come in the cool blue and black color way that they are offering in many of thier other parts.
Here's a stem that they are offering in that colorway also.
More new plastic pedals this time from Demolition.
I love this color of brown seats, I was glad to see some body come back out with it.
September 10th, 2009 I'm extremely late on this one, but i just found it today. It's a slideshow from English Dave's stay in the U.S. It's pretty cool to see all the things he got to do while he was here.
September 8th, 2009 Here's two videos to feast your eyes upon today. The first is a local edit from here in louisville, lots of good riding in here! The second comes all the way from Russia and was filmed using a Canon 5d video camera. This guys puts together such amazing stuff that you should take a look at his other videos.
September 3rd, 2009 Sorry for the lack of updates recently, it's been pretty busy around here lately. We do have a lot of stuff in the works so keep an eye on the site for future events. Have you ever wanted to know a song from one of your favorite bmx videos? Click here for every video listing know to man.
August 20th, 2009 Here's the edit from the Forcastle ramp jam. Thanks go to Ballard for the edit.
August 19th, 2008 The guys over at Strictly bmx in Australia have a Color bike customiser where you can waste all the time in the world planning your next color scheme... Chech it out!
August 18th, 2009 Here's a video documenting Aitken's stay in the hospital, there's a bunch on runs from the Dew Tour in the beggining which reminds you why he's one of the best riders on the planet. I think the goal here is to show everyone why they need a helmet. I never understood why people don't use them, who gives a shit if you don't look cool. If it's a issue of money, we'll give anyone a helmet for what we have in them. I just don't want to see any of my friends go through this, don't forget it only takes once.
August 7th, 2009 Joe Simon and the mutiny crew have been at it again and are releasing a new HD bmx video. This is going to be so good...
August 6th, 2009 We got in some new stuff today including the AOTC video from Boston. Chris Saunders brought the video by for every one to view. Come by and check it out and keep an eye out for Chris as he's in town and surely shooting some pics.
Here's the new Fit Eddie Clevland frame with a built in seatpost, removable brake mounts, and lowered top tube all under 5lbs.
Fit just released their new plastic pedal to keep up with every body else. A ton of pins should keep your feet on the pedals.
The G sport Ratchet hub is one of the most inovative designs to come out of the bmx world in a while. The way it works is very simple and extremely smart. The paws can be switched for RHD or LHD use very easily. Large bearing prolong the life of the hub and keep maintenance to a minumum.
Proper just released a new light weight front load stem. All of the ever popular proper colors are avialable of course.
Here's a edit from some of the local Louisville bmx guys, lots of heavy moves in this one check it out!
August 4th, 2009 Here's a new edit from the guys over at Kink. Every time I see a roadtrip edit it makes me want to hop in the car immediatley and go ride somewhere new.
July 30th, 2009 I know I've been slacking on posting photos lately so here two to take a look at. I've never taken a sequence with this many frames, it ended up better than I thought it would. Let me know if you'd like to try taking one.
Derrick Gabbert floats a x-up over the hip at louisville park. This guy might be the smoothest to ever ride at louisville, he has a break from his filming job and should be back to shred the park on a regular basis in August.
Here's an edit from the guys over at Verde. This was put together by Will Stroud who did the system video so you know it'll be good.
Verde have put up all of there 2010 complete bikes along with some info about each. Click the link to read more.
Built in seat post are becoming more and more popular on bmx frames today. Here's Fit's version on the Eddie Cleveland frame.
July 29th, 2009 We've got all of the new Odyssey color changing parts. They're white until you go out into the sun and they change to they special color. It's pretty crazy all of the stuff Odyssey comes out with, makes you wonder what might be next?
July 15th, 2009 Here's a look into the making of Fit's new video STAY FIT. This one features the very smooth style of Chase Dehart. We will be doing a premiere for the video so be sure to keep an eye out for that.
July 14th, 2009 Here's some pics from the Forcastle Festival this weekend. Lots of good riding went down, stay tuned for an edit soon.
Metro with a wallride on the back wall and into the wedge.
Brian Hinkel with a crowd pleasing flair
Brian with a pocket around the curved wall
Brandon "ZEBRA" with a ruben wallride at sunset
Dylan tables into the vert wall
Buno gaps into the shady vert wall
Derek gaps over the middle wedge and into the vert wall
Zebra nose manuals from the vert wall into the wedge July 8th, 2009 I heard Corey say in a web video recently that he felt like he was slowing down in his riding. This video deffinently makes me think otherwise.
July 7th, 2009 Sorry for the lack of updates recently, Brian over at Duffs gave me a lot of grief recently about my laziness when it comes to updating... so here's a fresh start.
May 28th, 2009 I love this video, this has to be my favorite part in Tommorow We Work.
May 22nd, 2009 Here's the firday bmx photo of the week! Alex Magallan came up from Nashville for the weekend last year and procceded to 180 this rail until he pulled it cleaned. No slackin' from this guy, he always ride fast and extremely smooth. Come watch the Sunday video to see his part for proof.
This edit from Federal is soooooooo good. It's crazy how so much amazing riding gets put into web videos that people forget about after a few days.
May 20th, 2009 Thanks to all who came out for the Sunday Premiere. Sorry it didn't work on the tv, we only had one straight master copy. If you didn't make it for the video you must see it... EVERY part is extremely good.
May 15th, 2009 I'm going to start posting a bmx photo every friday starting with this wall ride from Glenn. The first time I went to the Ali center I saw tire marks on this wall and to this day I don't know who did it. The 2nd time I went Glenn was there and he's not afraid to give a gnarly wall ride a go... got the camera out, set up the flashes and after a couple snaps it was in the bag.
May 14th, 2009 Here's a good video from Demolition... don't forget the Sunday video is being premiered at the shop tommorow>>>8:30
May 9th, 2009 We've got all the movement tee's here at the shop, they're available in sizes s-xxl and for the low price of 12$. DVD's are here as well if you haven't seen it yet. Where else can you get a tee for 12$ these days, all sales go toward movement getting a new camera.
May 8th, 2009
Every bottom bracket kit today comes with these fancy flush mount spacers. While they look really good, the thinner one can cause your chainline to be crooked... making for a not so smooth drivetrain. The best choice is to use a thinner spacer(which is usually provided) between the sprocket and bearing...if possible? Don't worry about the fat, non-drive side one. Use it all day long with no worries and a clean looking bottom bracket.
The sprocket below is a product that will solve one of bmx's biggest problems. Thanks Tree
May 7th, 2009 Got to build a new color way up today. Shadow Conspiracy hubs and rims made for a strong wheel.
Here's a good one! Metro had been wanting to do this rail hop for a while and after setting up flashes the security guards came out and gave us the boot. Ryan didn't let the lady in the background stop him though... not many people saw this pic but it's one of my faves. She had to be so confused.
May 6th, 2009 Come out for this, it's going to be a good one.
